Many people have used their expertise since 1987, under the impetus of Alain Tinayre, then successive chairmen from Luis Eduardo Gauterio Gallo to Christian Rondeau? to set up and develop our Union , and make it known to international institutions. This has involved much activity, a steady presence, many statements and reactions to the problems encountered by the professions throughout the world.

Now, thanks to the new information and communication technologies, we intend to communicate widely about WUP, what it does and who its members are. For WUP's 15 th anniversary and 4 th Congress, we offer you a CD-ROM setting out the events and activities of the last fifteen years.

Communicating this expertise will help the present and future heads of member organisations to make WUP better known and will make others feel the need to set up interprofessional organisations in their own countries, which will unite all the professions in their efforts to protect people .
